Just wanted to say sorry for the downtime that we have had recently, and will have in the next day or so.  I moved everything over last night, and have made a complete mess of things.  The forums are only half working, and the user integrations that I was supposed to have up and running are somewhat nonexistent at the moment.  The forums are half working, but they are at a different location right now; http://www.utacm.org/distribution.  Don't ask me why, it's a long story.

Also, because I'm SUCH a genius,  I ended up deleting my forum account last night too.  That was super awesome of me.

In short, sorry about it all, and if you would like to complain, email This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it and I will make sure and kick you in the teeth when I get back to Austin.

Seriously tho, pointing out bugs would be good.

First off, we're proud to announce that we recently won the 2007-2008 Chapter Excellence Award for Outstanding Recruitment, one of several awards doled out by ACM each year to its student chapters. With around 150 members each year and a consistently active core group of officers, it's no surprise, but nevertheless, we're honored!

Secondly, Taylor Hall's first floor recently suffered some significant flooding damage from a burst water pipe. The offices of ACM and the other CS student organizations were all affected, and we've lost some resources as a result. More details will be posted as we figure out exactly what didn't survive, what's going to happen with our offices, et cetera.

Tragedy aside, I'm still looking forward to a fantastic Fall semester, and I hope to see tons of new faces at our info session in early September!

*UPDATE from 8/11/08* Go here for more information on the flood
