2008-2009 Senior Officer Profiles

Roy Scott, Vice President of Social Events

Roy Scott

Roy is a junior in Computer Science and has been a member for 2.5 years. In Summer 2008, he interned at Potomac Fusion, a company that develops data fusion services for the demanding needs of the Department of Defense and other US government agencies. He is also slated to start working as the Microsoft Technical Student Partner Representative for the University of Texas in late August for the duration of the school year.

Nick Luchsinger, President

Nick is a junior in Computer Science, and this is his third year in ACM. Last year he served as our VP Internal. In Summer 2008, he interned at Cisco Systems in San Jose. Aside from his duties as president, he coordinates weekly 5-mile runs with fellow ACMers. For the athletically inclined -- Outrun him at one of these (it's not very hard), and he'll buy you a meal. Really.

Phillip Verheyden, Vice President of Academics and Systems Administrator

Phillip Verheyden is currently a Junior in Computer Science, and serves as the webmaster and VP of Academics for ACM. In Summer 2008 he interned at Cisco Systems in San Jose, California, where he worked in software development for Cisco's Wireless Configuration Service. He doesn't really like long walks on the beach, mainly because he has to drive a few hours to get to one. With the money earned from his internship, he bought a 46" 1080p plasma TV and an awesome sound system in his never ending quest to gain relationships deep enough to simply warrant a facebook friend request, which is how he rates his popularity. Won't you be his friend?
